12·5 cm (5 in)

  • Olive-brown crown
  • White coronal patch mostly concealed
  • Pale yellowish supraloral spot

South America: found from South East Brazil (Espírito Santo) to eastern Paraguay and north-eastern Argentina.

This is a monotypic species[1].

They like the undergrowth in humid forest, and medium levels in mature second growth forests.

[edit] Diet

Their main diet appears to consist of small arthropods like katydids and cockroaches.

They build a cup-shaped nest from dried leaves woven with lichen fibre.
