  • Brown head and back
  • Black throat
  • Brown eye
  • Black bill
  • Purple legs.

Distribution

Africa
Western Africa: Angola
Eastern Africa: Zambia
Southern Africa: Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Lesotho

Taxonomy

Habitat

Arid scrub, savanna amd gardens.

Behaviour

Diet

The diet includes invertebrates, fruit, seeds and nectar.

Breeding

Monogomous. They nest in trees and and shrubs the clutch consists of 2-6 green eggs.
