Distribution
South-east Asia: found in peninsula Thailand, Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Borneo and westerm Java
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Woodland, mangrove swamps and lowland rainforests.
Behaviour
Breeding
The nest is built by the female and is made from twigs, roots and grasses. The clutch consists of 1-2 white eggs which are incubated for 20 days. Fledging occurs after a further 12 days.
Diet
Their diet has been little recorded, but are known to eat fruit and berries in the trees and have been observed eating fallen fruit.
