Identification
Length 17 cm.
The only malimbe with a red belly.
Distribution
Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Nigeria, Sudan, and Uganda.
Taxonomy
Monotypic.
Habitat
Canopy of lowland forest and old secondary growth.
