Genus: Rimator
Description
This genus contains three species.
They have a long decurved bill (equal in length to or longer as the head), short rictal bristles, a short tail and very strong legs.
The Short-tailed Scimitar Babbler is sometimes also placed in this genus.
Taxonomy
Rimator is a genus in the Family Pellorneidae.
It was formerly included in the family Timaliidae.
The Short-tailed Scimitar-Babbler (now placed in its own genus Jabouilleia is sometimes placed in this genus (mostly as Indochinese Wren-Babbler).
Clements now places all species in the genus Napothera.
