Sport series 10x42 roof prism - BirdForum Opus

These have got to be the cheepest 10x42 binoculars on the market at 9.99 P&P at either 3.95 for standard dispach or 6.95 for rapid dispatch.

When it comes to waight, the binocular on a whole waighs 615 grams.

The rubber eyepieces can be folded down, but they often pop back up, a put off for wearers of glasses.

Close focus is not very close (i have not mesured this) so if you plan to watch insects at close range these are not the binoculars for you.

Focusing itself is a bit hapazard, it is very difficult to get a sharp image, and the diopter adustment is a bit fiddley.

With a focusing mechanism that takes some practice to use well and the difficulty in getting the image sharp in both eyepieces.

These binoculars would best suit somone who is either looking for a first pair and does not feel justified to spash out on the more expencive makes, or for anyone on a tight budget. Content and images originally posted by Anthony Britner
