Identification

Distribution

Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Solomon Islands.

Taxonomy

Three subspecies recognized:

  • C. s. wallacei on Sulawesi and Sula Islands (Taliabu Island)
  • C. s. stephani on Kai Islands, eastern New Guinea, Admiralty Islands and Bismarck Archipelago
  • C. s. mortoni on Solomon Islands (Bougainville to Makira and Santa Anna)
