Taxonomy
Syndactyla is a genus in the Family Furnariidae.
Clements places Russet-mantled Foliage-gleaner also in this genus instead of Philydor.
Peruvian Recurvebill and Bolivian Recurvebill are sometimes placed in their own genus Simoxenops.
