Lanius dorsalis

Identification

  • White tail edges
  • White border to the grey back patch

Juvenile

  • Small white primary patch
  • Lacks white-tips to the secondaries
  • White edges to the tail

Distribution

Eastern Africa: found from southeastern South Sudan to northeastern Uganda, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, and northeastern Tanzania.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Arid bush and semi-arid scrubby savannah.
