South America: found in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.
Taxonomy
This species used to be placed in genus Tangara.
Subspecies
There are 2 subspecies[1]:

- S. a. argyrofenges:
- Yungas of western Bolivia (La Paz, Cochabamba and western Santa Cruz)
Habitat
Moist montane forests and forest edges; generally between 1350–1600 m.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of fruit and insects.
