Subspecies
There are 2 subspecies[1]:
- T. m. margaritatus:
- Eastern Mauritania to Chad, Sudan, northern Ethiopia and Eritrea
- T. m. somalicus:
Habitat
Dry thornbrush, stream banks.
Behaviour
Omnivorous. Their diet consists of berries and fruits, and insects such as grasshoppers, centipedes, beetles and locusts.
