Distribution
Eastern Africa: found in Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and Malawi.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are two subspecies:[2]
- A. c. macphersoni
- Montane forests of south-eastern Kenya, eastern Tanzania, southern Malawi and northern Mozambique
- A. c. chariessa
- Lower Tana River of Kenya
Habitat
Moist lowland forests and montanes.
Status
Classified as Vulnerable in the 2009 IUCN Red List.[1]

The diet includes insects.
