Western Africa: Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola
Eastern Africa: Uganda and Tanzania

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies^[1]:

• P. x. serlei:

• Lowlands and foothills of Mount Cameroon

• P. x. xavieri:

• Cameroon to northern Zaire, western Uganda and north-western Tanzania

An additional subspecies sethsmithi is generally considered invalid^[2].
