- Yellowish-green top and side of head and neck and upper body
Distribution
Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
Ptiloprora meekiana has two subspecies:[1]
- P. m. occidentalis
- Central New Guinea (Nassau and Snow Mountains)
- P. m. meekiana
- Herzog Mountains and Mountains of south-eastern New Guinea
Habitat
Montane forests and secondary growths, at heights around 2200–2800 m.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consist of arthropods, insects and nectar from flowering trees. Normally foraging in the middle or upper levels of the forests.
