Zentralfriedhof (Vienna Central Cemetery) - BirdForum Opus

Zentralfriedhof

Overview

In the eastern district of Vienna there are about 3.5 sq Km of park land with not only graves and monuments of important muscicians, but also some good oportunities for a birding tour:

Within the Austrian capital this area is a valuable site for the travelling birder staying in the city. Beside birds, the cementery harbours many cultural monuments. Especially the older parts like the Old Jewish Cementery (section) in the west is worth to visit after the famous Art Deco building of the church of "Lueger" (Luegerkirche).
