Identification
40-43 cm. Rust brown plumage, rose or green tint to neck, pale eye streak, red eyering, blue-grey iris, chestnut cap, red legs and feet, long tail.
Distribution
Australia, New Guinea, Borneo, Philippines, Sumatra, the Moluccas and Sulawesi.

Behaviour
The diet includes seeds, fruit and berries.
They build a platform nest from sticks and vines, and 1 cream white egg is laid which is incubated by both parents for 18 days; both parents care for the young.
