A widespread group of short-tailed medium to large parrots found from Mexico through the Caribbean, Central and South America.
Taxonomy
Amazona is a genus in the Family Psittacidae. It is likely that Yellow-faced Parrot in the future will be moved to genus Alipiopsitta.
