Asia: found in Assam, Burma, China, Thailand, Indochina, Borneo


  • P. f. flavescens: Hills of southern Assam (south of the Brahmaputra) to western Burma
  • P. f. vividus: North-eastern Burma to south-western China (Yunnan), Thailand and northern Indochina
  • P. f. sordidus: Southern Indochina
  • P. f. leucops: Northern Borneo (Mt. Kinabalu to Mt. Mulu and Mt. Murud)
