Distribution

Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama.

Taxonomy

Subspecies[1]

Three subspecies are recognized in Tody Motmot:

  • H. m. chiapensis:
  • Pacific coast of southern Mexico (Chiapas)
  • H. m. momotula:
  • H. m. obscurus:
