Identification
11-12.5cm. Bright yellow upper parts, throat and upper chest and white under parts.
Distribution
Northern and temperate Europe, and just into the extreme west of Asia.
Taxonomy
Habitat
Wood warblers generally prefer woodland with little understorey and a closed canopy. Typically they are found in the sessile oak woods of SW England, Wales, NW England and Scotland, often on sloping ground.
Behaviour
The diet includes insects and spiders.
The nest is built near the ground in low shrub.
