Myiarchus yucatanensis

Identification

  • Crown rufous
  • Indistinct grey area around eye and at lores
  • Both primaries and secondaries edged rufous
  • Tertials edged whitish

Similar species

Brown-crested Flycatcher and Dusky-capped Flycatcher

Distribution

Central America: found in Mexico, Guatemala and Belize.

    • Eastern Mexico (extreme eastern Tabasco and northern and central Yucatán Peninsula)
  • M. y. lanyoni
    • Cozumel Island (off Yucatán Peninsula of eastern Mexico)

Dry forests.
