Zeiss / east coast binocular repairs (1 Viewer)

Just a quick note to comment on excellent service from Gary at ECBR. I understand that Gary is responsible for the UK service department, and I was absolutely thrilled with repairs to my FL - the strap lug snapped 2 weeks ago, and I sent them in last Friday. Bins arrived today, not only repaired but with new armour installed as well - work done free of charge no less. I've used ECBR before for a Nikon HG which needed recolomation, and had a fast turn around then too. A credit to Zeiss - thanks so much Gary!

I suppose it is easier to replace than metal? As turn around was so quick, it seems unlikely to be a major concern for most users - I'd probably consider myself quite a heavy user, as I use them for both work and pleasure - likely between 24 - 84 hours a week depending on workload (or free time for birding!).

Another vote of appreciation. Gary is very knowledgeable and helpful and as mentioned before it is always a pleasant surprise to be reminded that Zeiss service comes free of charge (possibly with the exception of difficult to obtain spare parts) even for Dialyt binoculars from the last century.

I'm new here and have a older pair of Zeiss bino's I would like to get cleaned and checked out. Could you tell me who Gary from ECBR is? I tried googling ECBR and nothing to do with bino's came up. Thanks
