What are numpties on scramblers?? I'm imagining dirtbikes but....
I will have a report from the SE US coming later. Cold, grey and rainy here, but as far as I know I haven't seen a numpty or a scrambler

Most obvious omission is Red Kite which is an everyday bird over my garden but a grey manky day & not flying. Had 2 spots for Stonechat but no show. No major water bodies so limited selection of water birds. Others missing often see include Buzzard, Little Egret, Skylark, Coal Tit, Chiffchaff & the much scarcer now Greenfinch.

Didn't manage my usual new year circuit, instead just a walk from home around the north end of the village (Aviemore). Quite wet and cold and was walking on slushy snow in some parts and solid ice in others, thanks goodness for micro-spikes or I'd have spent a lot of time picking myself up off the ground! The only thing I can add is to the list is a Hooded Crow.
After walking quite a few miles with the pup I don’t think I can add anything to the UK list. Failed on Dipper despite being in a great area. Having said that has anyone added Mistle Thrush yet?

I’m sure you’ve seen both at some time just under another name - you’re right scramblers are dirt bikes (or pit bikes as they call them here) and a numpty is derived from numbskull I think - ie idiots.Nice birds....
