Averse to Binos or Birdforum? (1 Viewer)

Do you want to like a Leica or a Vortex?
Or do you think a Zeiss is twice as nice?
Does armour with a bad smell
Make you sick and feel unwell?
Is a Swaro nice despite the asking price?

Do you love a Leupold or drift towards a Swift?
Do Zen-Ray or a Maven get you ravinโ€™?
Do brand names give you headaches?
And decisions feel like earthquakes?
Do you walk out from the dealer feeling miffed?

Is Birdforum just a place to place your musings?
Do you linger there when you have time to spare?
Do you find the posts inspiring?
Or do you leave desiring
You would speak your mind if only you could dare?

Opticron or Kite could be the question,
Its enough to give you gout or indigestion!
No matter how you put it,
Some other member will rebut it,
Leaving you once more with nausea and depression.

But bino lovers love to linger with each other,
We are all just like a sister and a brother.
A bit of humour gets us through,
Despite the Covid and the flu,
So lets lift a glass and then lets have another.

Lee
I blame the isolating due to Covid....

Thank you all for your kind words. It was fun.

I simply logged to read some chat,
Just to search,,... or check a stat.
Instead, I find a dance of words,
no view, no pics,... and defunct of birds.
How is one to handle that?

cheers! I blame Corvid and a fierce winter storm...
Hi Rob
How is one to handle it? Go up the page and realise you are in the binos forum, not one of the bird forums :) hence all the bino brand-names.
It was just a silly way to say there are good reasons to not be 'averse' to Birdforum at the same time as using the title to make a weak joke.
Cheers to you and here is wishing lots of great winter birds to everyone.

Thanks Lee ! I enjoyed your rhymes. Mine was more about rhyming as well, not that I did not enjoy your own. I did.
I seldom get winter storms , but this is a doozey of one. Don't think I'm set up to handle this.

Rob I am slow this morning, must be due to temperatures here crawling up to over freezing for the first time in a long time!

There was a young woman from Fife,
at wits end with the man in her life.
He birded all day,
was always away,
and now was no longer his wife.
Reading all this was really a fun/hoot but I hope no one decides to quit their day jobs unless of course they decide to sell binoculars for a living.
