Dear all, please check the recording under vocalizations in this opus page (labeled as being recorded in Sichuan, China)
It was uploaded to the White-browed Shortwing page but based on range it cannot be the correct species after splitting up the WbShortwing. However, I am not sure I can tell by range if it is now Himalayan or Chinese Shortwing. Any help?

thanks
Niels

The two are sympatric in c, nc? Sichuan e.g Wolong. Listening to recordings (and viewing the sonograms) song sounds better for Himalayan IMHO, but there are few recordings of Chinese for comparison. Hoping that James Eaton can confirm?

The image from Yunnan is a Himalayan Shortwing; Chinese is a duller grey-blue overall, with grey lores and paler, rather uniform greyer underparts.
