For those of you who have a G7 or one of the GX models (Panasonic) or a similar newish Olympus: Have these makers made it possible to select both shutter speed and aperture while allowing the auto iso to get the light right? That option is missing on my older GH2, and it is one that could make me change brand I believe.

It can be done on my Olympus E-M1, which is about 3 years old. All you have to do is turn the dial to manual mode, then select aperture and shutter speed, and the ISO adjusts automatically.

On the G7, manual mode and iso auto would get you there. Again with no exposure compensation available. It's very quick to change iso level using a favourite function button on the G7 though, so I prefer to avoid iso auto.
