but according to HBWalive, the local subspecies on Cozumel is leei, which is described as
leei is long-billed, long-tailed, dark, has red nasal tufts, pale bars above very narrow and brown-tinged, white rump and tail-coverts dark-barred, little or no white in tail, brownish below, dark red belly patch, male with entire crown to hindneck red, sometimes meeting red of nasal tufts;
