Many of you likely know about the University of Alberta Peregrine Falcon webcam; see http://www.falconcam.med.ualberta.ca/. Walking thru the forested river valley adjacent to the university, I stumbled on the bird -- see photo.

Are asking for an ID?, If you are it's a Cooper's Hawk. Note the rounded tail.

What a gorgeous photo! This isn't a peregrine though. I'm guessing it's a first year Cooper's hawk. What a stroke of luck you happened upon it with your camera ready!

If you are asking for a id your bird is a Coopers Hawk, Note the Yellow eye Brown head Brown cap, nape, White underparts marked by thin black streaks, concentrated on chest Tail, pale below, barred with dark bands White terminal band, and also note the rounded tail.
