lockable eyepiece (1 Viewer)

please forgive my ignorance, but can anyone explain how the leica lockable zoom lens actualy locks. Is it the zoom that locks or is it the eyepiece that locks to the scope.
regards Bill...

Hi Bill,
The zoom eyepiece locks to the scope so that when you twist the zoom from x20 to x60 & back you don't inadvertently disengage the eyepiece. Unfortunately you will need a newish scope as it is only recently that the Leica scopes have been made with a dimple to hold the eyepiece locking pin.
Best wishes,
Steve
