tiny "Black-headed" Gull ITALY (1 Viewer)

Hi Anthony I see this is your first post, so may I welcome you on behalf of the Staff and Moderators at Bird Forum

I'm sorry I can't help with the identification, but I'm sure someone will be along soon who can.

Plumage and bare parts say Black-headed, rather than either Little or Bonaparte's. As to size, ones does occasionally get quite small, runty Black-headed Gulls and though this one seems a bit exreme in that respect, that's where my money is.

Actually quite similar to the bird standing behind it as well. I suspect the angle of the bird may make it look smaller than it really is, although its clearly smaller than normal. A runt Black-headed gull.
