First commercial bird tour to Moldova (1 Viewer)

Looking at the report, it doesn't deserve to be so far east!! being a fairly small landlocked(?) country, perhaps the habitats aren't there?

What do you mean with that?

Yes, Moldova is landlocked, but it's close to the coast and the Danube delta, got similar (albeit less extensive) habitat as the Delta and therefore mostly the same birds. As there is little intensive agriculture, there are plenty of farmland birds as well. I find birding very good there, although admittedly, less spectacular as the Danube Delta or other destination in SE Europe.

Here the ebird list, which gives a good idea what can be regularely seen: https://ebird.org/barchart?r=MD&yr=all&m=

Ps: I do have nothing to do with the tour or the tour company. I just happen to have an interest in the country.

Ok... So while not necessarily spectecular, I'd certainly recommend Moldova for good birding and for a good tick on the list of countries visited ;)
