AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 SP Di VC USD XLD

Is there something similar that fits a lumix?
I'd like something on the order of about 45-150 but with large aperture (I'm a binocular guy!) that I don't need to take a mortgage.

Got this in a recent Amazon flash sale. Easily as good as my Canon 55-250 IS which is itself an excellent lens. Size means you have to position tripod legs very carefully! Picture quality very good at max focal length. Works well with both my Canon 70D and 1100D

I've had mine for a while, and mainly use it on my Nikon 1 cameras, but also on my FX camera.

It isn't quite as good as the 70-300CX, but costs less than a third!

I had the AF-S 70-300 VR before, but this lens is sharper in its long end, where my interest is (the Nikon lens is excellent in its wide end).

In low contrast situations it can have problems attaining perfect focus, thus can pump a bit.

It is nearly flawless on my FX camera, a little more hesitant on my Nikon 1 cameras.

Considering its excellent anti-shake system the lens is truly exceptional, considering its very friendly price!

I probably didn't say enough good things about this lens in pros. I absolutely love this lens, and would recommend it to everyone.

As I said in the cons, the focus motor seems to have gotten louder after 7 months of use. I don't find it to be annoying, as it is still very quiet. It's something to consider though.

I have taken about 20,000 shots with it thus far, and haven't really found a problem with it. You can't set a minimum focus for BIF images, but again, that's not a huge problem.

If you check out my flickr, most of the shots on it recently were taken with that lens on the Nikon D5100. I have gotten tons of fantastic shots with it, and even got over 6,000 views on one of them.
