Listening to bird calls in the kitchen is a real joy. I had great pleasure just passing away the time listening to the calls from the "tit" family, just by touching soundspots in the British Birds Diary. You pick up very quickly how a great tit differs in sound from a blue tit, and on several occasions, with the window open I got a reply.
I found recording the replies to be very easy and saving the sounds into the diary allowed me to play back late at night. I have now saved about 20 days of outings into the diary, and flicking through the pages, listening! in bed, was a real joy. I could clearly recall the day, the weather, the place where the recordings were made.
I would really recommend this product- it is therapeutic and easy to use, even for me.http://www.birdforum.net/images/smilies/angel2.gif
