I purchased my Leica Televid 62 following the recommendation of a birding fellow/guide, only 2 months after he bought his. After using it for about 2 1/2 years with extreme care my scope broke in 2 pieces just like my friend's Leica did 5 months before mine broke, pure causality?? It appears to be a manufacture defect, particularly when the body is made of some sort of plastic??!!! Wow, that was cheap of Leica. Still it was a great scope I loved the close focusing distance and the dual focus system.
