I love this lens! I have regularly used a friends 300 2.8 on his 5D2. I compare this to my 60D and the 400 5.6 and I prefer my rig. His rig cost around 10K and mine 2K ($A). Mine is far lighter I get more shots as keepers with my rig - especially birds in flight. After lugging the big rig around all day I need anti-inflamatories. I can hand hold the 60D and 400 with no problem.
