BG-E2 Battery Grip for EOS 20D

I must have received the latest version - no problems to date whatsoever. Used in temp. ranges -5 to +40 degrees C. So far so good.

Canon has updated this battery attachment because there were fit problems with the original not fitting correctly.

I believe SN # greater than 100000 are the new ones.

This is an invaluable part of the 20D kit. On its own the 20D can feel quite small to handle as i have large hands but with the BG-E2 fitted, it feels perfect and have shot many photos with it.
With the large lenses in the other review, the screw mechanism thats fits the BGE2 to the 20D body tends to come loose and due to this the power supply to the 20D will be lost. This happened to me quite often but can easily just be retightened. Can sometimes make you miss that once in a lifetime shot when all of a sudden your camera stops working because it has come loose. Maybe Canon will bring out a better model to compensate for this?? Otherwise, apart from this, i feel that the BGE2 is a needed accessory for the 20D body.
