Description: I recently purchased this wireless remote flash / trigger setup which works via the 2.4GHz frequency. Unlike regular infrared systems which have to be directed in a particular position without any obstructions in between, the Hahnel Combi TF works within a range of approximately 100 meters. The beauty of the 2.4GHz system is that you can position yourself anywhere (even behind a wall).

So far the system has functioned very reliably. In my case, I purchased an additional Hahnel TF receiver so that I could operate my Nikon SB-800 flash independently from my camera body. The receiver uses two AAA batteries, whilst the trigger unit uses a flat lithium battery.

I have already managed to capture bird photos which I would not have got without the aid of this system. It really offers an additional dimension to photography and is very reasonably priced.

Definitely an asset to wildlife photography!
