I made the same point on here several years ago about the decline of the little owl population, at the time nobody else seemed to see any problem, the little owls here went from 4 breeding pairs...

I'm not sure of the correct name for them but I...

I'm not sure of the correct name for them but I think they're Fiddler Crabs they have one big front claw instead of 2 like normal crabs. I saw 100s when I was there a couple of years ago.

I think the only temporary solution is to block off as many holes as you can, I wouldn't use expanding foam though as this can lift your roof tiles.

At what age do Firecrests attain their adult plumage? I ask because I believe I saw a firecrest today in immature plumage as in figure 9 page 1343 BWP is this possible?
