Thanks Larry, will research the tyrannulet. At the time I had thought the other was an Eastern kingbird, but while reviewing the pictures the yellow in the belly confused me.

@CarlBeel I've just reviewed a few photos of male amethysts and I see what you mean about there being more iridescence in my individual than an amethyst would have. Thanks for your input.

Pipit and Shikra? Ruaha, Tanzania. Feb 2020

These look to me like the same species of pipit (different individuals), but which pipit?

I think the raptor is a shikra, but wanted verification.

Black-necked weavers were in close proximity each time I saw the bird in question, but they do, at least superficially, look quite different.
