on the bto birdtrack it lists birds but with some birds it only lists numbers..ie 1045 and how many times its been seen in the area....how do you find out what these are?

ive had none of that but the thing is there is a fence at the back of my house and i cant see anything getting in like hedgehogs,foxes etc.

how far do birds travel to get in a garden ie.wil birds who nest/live in lets say 1/2 a mle from the garden come in or can birds come from maybe 2-3 towns away into the garden.
