Thanks for your input, however this species looks a bit small to be Royal and the beak is dark, not yellow/orange as on the Royal Tern.

I have been using the 500 for 2 years now, the sharpest lens I have ever used. i recently got the 100-400 and even though both are 2 stops effective, I personly find the IS on the 500 better.
