You can gat a tuning adapter to set the actual lens up but i have never needed that

I agree with Niels, in your situation reach sounds the most imprtant thing, 600mm on a 1 inch sensor is not as good as it sounds, go for the P1000 and if your in a car try a been bag on the window...

Depends on the type of wildlife you do, i have used both the G9 and Olympus em1mk11, if its all action i would say look at the om, if its just a small amount of action then the G9 is a fantastic...

I can only speak for the UK but extra cheap prices means grey import over here, ie not through the official importer.

From what i understand Nikon in the USA will not repair these even if you paid

After having Panasonic and Olympus the Olympus has the edge for BIF and works well with the 100-400.

The Panasonic G9 possibly has the edge for other subjects
