I also think this is a Cirl Bunting going on the colouration alone.I used to live down that neck of the woods and have seen plenty of both species.

We took the bus to Allenheads and from there set out for Killhope. The feather was found at the highest point of the walk near Killhope Law. Plenty of Red Grouse, but as yet never seen any Black up...

Gull and feather identification UK

Hi all

Spotted this gull on the isle of Bute a week ago. It was on its own on a remote beach. It looked unusual. Or maybe not as I'm no gull expert!
