I'm not too sure if this thread is about birding or not, but it's pretty obvious high mags should be left to scopes.

I was recently on the west coast, out for a walk with a nephew, and he said...

Yes, I think mine came with the 13-30x and honestly the zoom is still in the box. A little scope like this deserves a fixed magnification. Enjoy it, because its a real gem.

Good points, Peter. I have rather lousy eyes, in my opinion. They need help at all distances so I really appreciate good optics, from microscope to telescope. And glasses for gettin' around.

"Staring" is what you do when your eyes have very little accomodation. That's what good glasses and good binos are for. Bill is right, if you find a bino that works well and doesn't make your eyes do...

I've always carried the 25mm CL with the strap outside the case. Just zip it up from both sides. Carry it however you like.

One nice thing about the case is the arched ends, at right angles. They...

Sheer laziness Dennis. It is a sweet little bino but I'm too lazy to sell it.

My Porsche is 33 years old, and I still love it, but it's not first choice for a road trip.

I guess I'll have to watch fewer birds and more TV to follow this.;)

I've had the 32FL and the 32SV for years and years. Still no comparison, for me anyway.

Leica is sending a replacement cover so that's not an issue. A bit lazy on Leica's part maybe. I'm not sure I'd use superglue though. In this case it would either work too well or not at all.

I haven't posted recently because I've been so stinking satisfied with my most used binos.

8.5 SV first. But not most used.

8x32 SV is the most used. Smaller, lighter, superb ergqonomics. It just...

I think birdwatchers are often in a hurry and "off axis" and that might be what Swaro has concentrated on. No tripods, no test charts. Just what works.

My 32mm SV leaves my 32mm FL far behind. I...

I think your best bet is to call it a loss. I have an 8x43 ED2 that won't focus and I might do a nasty DIY on it just for yucks. Other than that? Probably nothing to do. Buy a Swaro.:t:
