In Normandy

Many Cormorants

In Swanpool Bay, Falmouth, Cornwall, yesterday there were upwards of 200 Cormorants. I guess this is not usual! So would there be a reason for it and if so what please?

Small birds on Dawlish Warren golf course?

Crossbill?

I took this picture yesterday Near Coverack on the Lizard peninsula.
There were a pair of them feeding on young pine trees. surely they are very rare for this far South!

Could you please tell me if these were a pair of Hen Harrier. (maybe Ring Tail) as I am sure I saw a white ring between tail and wing through the binoculars.
