Just try it with the eye cups extended. There's a temptation when wearing eyeglasses to believe you don't need to extend the eye cups. With some models this just isn't true.

I'd look at a label with small print at the distance where it becomes illegible in the 8X42. If you can see it in the 10X42 you'll know there's a difference...

I agree. If my ED82A had a wider field eyepiece with better eye relief I would never have purchased the Kowa 883. As it is, I cannot part with the ED82!
