My first Swift was about a week earlier than 'normal' this year - and there had been a few others even earlier in Yorkshire.
So, yes, I think this has been an exceptional year.

I've only ever seen one Citril Finch - which happened to come to a stream to drink many moons ago. In the Alps obviously - not Barnsley!
