I don't think the Jaramillo book is misleading on Tit-Tyrants, must be the altitude :) That is a textbook Yellow-billed, and definitely not Pied-crested!

Structurally doesn't look like any Towhee/Sparrow to me, nor a Phoebe. Even though I can't see any wing bars or color change anywhere on the wing, the structure still reminds me of a N Mockingbird.
