thanks martinf and Mark - I considered those but my reference books shows them with olive brown abdomen and these are full white - perhaps a cross breed? Does that happen with birds in the wild?

Tasmania - is this a Black Headed Honeyeater or some other ?

I get quite a few Blackheaded honey eater but on inspecting the photos more closely I do not think this complies to type - the only ones I can match it with are not supposed to be in Tasmania...
