Having trouble identifying this flycatcher spotted in the early morning in coastal woods. Would not lower his head for me, and was quite distant. Please help! Many thanks.

size of snake

On second look at the photo, I would go for little egret. You can see the two long plumes at the back of the head. The snowys don't have these when breeding--they just look wild and disheveled.
